PolyOne in January 2017 will begin the production of special polymers plant in Pune
MOSCOW ( MRC ) – PolyOne’s company, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of polymer products, plans in January 2017 to start commercial production of special engineering polymers existing plant in Pune (Pune You, India), the company said.
Currently PolyOne installs special equipment in the enterprise. The beginning of the test production is expected in late 2016.
The new products is part of PolyOne’s strategy to expand its product range in the region and increase the speed of delivery of high quality solutions to customers in the market.
As reported by the MRC, in September 2014 officially it opened a new plant in Pune. The company produces special solid masterbatches, liquid colorants and additives. In addition, at the plant located research laboratories, as well as sales and logistics center for the region.
Previously, it was noted that PolyOne start construction of a new facility in Pune, the power of which the company did not specify, in October 2013. Initially, the new plant was planned to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2014.
Products manufactured at the plant are used for the production of products for different target markets, including transportation, healthcare, manufacturing wires and cables, as well as packaging.
It was also reported that in February 2016 PolyOne Corporation announced the purchase of certain assets and technologies of the company Kraton Performance Polymers, Inc. in line with the strategy to strengthen its position in the global market elastotermoplastov. In addition, the two companies also signed an agreement for the supply of certain raw materials, which makes of Kraton, Addiction PolyOne. These products are used in the production process when the acquired assets.
